How to access the service

The service is presently available to all GSM subscribers. The customer has to dial *99# and enter the first four digits of the IFSC of the bank i.e. HDFC to access the USSD based services of HDFC Bank, UTIB for Axis Bank, UBIN for Union Bank, .

  • Customer dials *99# from his mobile phone.
  • Customer receives welcome message as “Welcome to NUUP please enter first 4 letters of your bank – IFD Code or NUUP code – to begin.”
  • Customer enters ubin and sends the request.
  • Bank mobile banking menu is displayed on the screen.
  • Customer selects the transaction from the menu and enters the details as requested in the USSD session to complete the transaction

USSD-based Mobile Banking Services

Balance Enquiry:

  • Select balance enquiry menu option “1” from the services.
  • After validation of mobile number by the system available balance of the registered account will be displayed

Mini Statement:

  • Select mini statement menu option “2” from the services.
  • After validation of mobile number by the system last 3 transactions of the registered account will be displayed

Fund transfer-MMID (IMPS P2P):

  • Select Fund transfer-MMID menu option “3” from the services.
  • Reply with Beneficiary Mobile Number and MMID. e.g. 9842012345 123456
  • Reply with Amount and Remarks (if required) e.g. 100
  • Reply with mPin and last 4 digits of a/c no: e.g. 1234 0058
  • Success/failure message will be received on the SMS inbox and on the screen itself.

Fund transfer-Account (IMPS P2A):

  • Select Fund transfer-Account menu option “4” from the services.
  • Reply with Beneficiary IFSC and Account Number. e.g. UBIN0123456 566802000123456
  • Reply With Amount and Remarks (if required) e.g. 100
  • Reply with mPin and last 4 digits of a/c no: e.g. 1234 0058
  • Success/failure message will be received on the SMS inbox and on the screen itself.

Know MMID:

  • Select Know MMID menu option “6” from the services.
  • After validation of mobile number by the system MMID will be displayed.

Change mPin:

  • Select Change mPin menu option “7” from the services.
  • Reply with your Old mPin. e.g. 1234
  • Reply with new mPin. e.g. 2345
  • Re-enter new mPin. e.g. 2345
  • After validation successful/failure message will be displayed.

Generate OTP:

  • Select Generate OTP menu option “8” from the services.
  • Reply with mPin. e.g. 1234
  • After validation, OTP will be generated and displayed on the screen. Which
    can be used for IMPS Merchant transactions
