CMM Level 5 IT Companieswill offer you the role of Programmer Analyst Trainee for Fresher.
Every fresher will be in the confusion that what does a Programmer Analyst Trainee in IT Company? Will IT Company offer me working on my passionate domain? What can I do if I am mapped to an unfamiliar domain?
If you are very new to a domain you are mapped, IT Companywill train you. But a common advice is get your hands fast in some Object Oriented language like Java, Dot.NET or C++ etc, before you’re allocated to a project or better even before joining. You’ll be well trained over the technology and you’ll eventually learn them irrespective of what you learnt before joining. Training is also the best part in CMM Level 5 IT Companies where you can enjoy the training period.
You will not be given options to choose domain of yours. If you are mapped to some domains (say Dot.Net, Testing) but you still passionate about other domains which you have a sound knowledge in it (say Java), then don’t worry. The chances are high that you can possibly change domain after working one year and it won’t be a problem after a year.
Please keep in minds that there are lot of domains as many as 1500 being used by CMM Level 5 IT Companiesand if you don’t have any knowledge about those domains other than your passionate one, then don’t have preconceived ideas about a domain being good or not.
In case, you really do not like actual coding (considering this term as “coding from scratch”), then you are still in the right place. Don’t worry. All you need is to try working more on your logical and analytical skills, once you get a real project.
First day will be orientation, and on the first day itself you will know your domain, training location.
From the next day, you will report to your respective training. You will again sit in class just like college and the class size varies from 20-34 people. In the first training day, BO (batch owner) will tell about what you will do for the next few months.
Trainer will come (generally an outsider) to train (or teach) about the topics. After you learn, you will have to clear exit test based on each topic (depends on your domain). For Java and Dot.NET, one has to clear C, SQL, Java, C# summative exit tests. As far as coding is concerned, if you have done coding in your +2, or in your 1st semester of your college, it will be easy for you.
Don’t worry, they won’t ask tough questions in tests. Whatever the trainer teaches it will come. Being benched means you are not working in a project. Sometime it depends on your luck and domain to get a project immediately after training.
This Class room training is for three months. You will be put into a project as buffer for next 6 months and then they bill you. Mostly all trainees get confirmed after one year and will be made programmer analyst.
CMM Level 5 IT Companiesreserves the right to change the Training policy or related criteria to suit the needs of the organization or individual business units; and such changes shall be communicated within a reasonable timeframe.
